STARLIGHT curing tests successfully completed

In order to determine the curing speed of our STARLIGHT UV system with the GRP liner from BKP Berolina, our application technician Dennis Huncke made his way to the BKP headquarters in Velten. Over two days, the task was to determine the curing speed for a 6 mm thick DN 400 liner and a 4 mm thick DN 500 liner. Our mobile UV system STARLIGHT with the 4 x 400 watt booster and the 4 x 400 watt light chain was used. Curing went perfectly and the first curing results made a very good impression during the visual inspection and the knock test. The analyzed laboratory results exceed the expectations from the first impression on site and provide excellent results with a residual styrene content below the required standard and a value of over 10,000 (E-modulus according to DIBt approval).

Thanks to the flawless test series at BKP, we can not only define the appropriate curing speed for the GRP liner, but also extend the application range of the STARLIGHT up to DN 500. A realization that makes the mobile UV system even more versatile and significantly expands the possible applications.
